Review by hotel critic
As a culinary critic specializing in traditional Austrian cuisine, a recent stay at Ibis in Innsbruck was a delightful surprise. The hotel's strategic location adjacent to the train station was convenient, allowing me easy access to explore the city's culinary offerings. However, it was the in-house dining experience that truly captured my attention.Upon entering the hotel's bar/lounge, Cube 8, I was greeted by a warm ambiance that set the tone for an enjoyable evening. Opting for a light snack, I savored the delicacies at the snack bar/deli that boasted a mix of local and international flavors - a true reflection of Innsbruck's diverse gastronomic scene. For a more substantial meal, I ventured to the nearby restaurants, intrigued by the proximity of culinary options like Die Pizzerei and Stieglbrau. These establishments exemplified the fusion of traditional Tyrolean cuisine with modern twists, catering to a range of palates. In the morning, I indulged in a hearty breakfast at Bahnhofsrestaurant City Point, where the all-you-can-eat buffet for 13 euros offered a variety of savory and sweet options to kickstart my day of culinary exploration in Innsbruck.Ibis proved to be a culinary haven for food enthusiasts like myself, offering a seamless blend of convenience and gastronomic innovation that left a lasting impression on my Austrian culinary journey.
